MYTHS OF LOVE

Don’t call me Radha,

and yourself Krishna!

Let’s not tether each other

with these myths of love

besieged by controversies

demanding existential proofs

unavailable to mankind.

Remember,

Lighthearted souls

never weigh you down.

BLUE

You painted me blue

You called me a star

You took me places

farther than far.

Should I rejoice while floating in this space of nothingness?

Should I mourn your breathlessness?

FINDING THE NORTH

Photo: Milestones

To plan an escape

from the noises in my mind

Yelling for the answers

I wanted to find,

I began an expedition towards North

With a part of the compass we bought

To walk together on this magical journey

but, the road we took split into two,

And the compass broke as if it knew

That I have to walk alone,

without you.

What direction is this?

Am I going nowhere?

Or nowhere is somewhere I ought to be?

Do the paths revolve like planets?

North is not there,

 where it used to be.

BETWEEN HOLDING ON AND LETTING GO

Photo: Dadar, Mumbai

There’s too much crowd

on the bridge between

holding on

and letting go,

designed by the failed engineers of Ego

who made a plan

to build it over the

Ocean of Desire

for the ones

who burn themselves to death

with the delusion of their airs

that catch Fire,

by inhaling

just an ounce of

TRUTH.

FRUITS AGONY

None question my erratic fall

from this tree

coercing me

to kiss the ground,

while my brothers are bound

to greet me

with tormented faces

bearing cruor and the traces

of their lesion,

denuding the savage nature

of that human

who pulled his bow and arrow

to slay us

just to soothe his throat,

vivify health and

foment his growth but,

one thing I am sure of is that

our death is not the end,

for as long as

this tree lives,

our family will expand.
